They said it couldn’t be done -  golfing on the first weekend in March; however, thanks to Al Gore and climate change, in French Lick on March 2nd, 2008, the clouds parted, and the sun came out.  Fore!   Phil was able to play the first nine of the year.  In fact, he was the second customer of 2008 at the Tom Bendalow course.

Armed with a bag of pristine new clubs (thanks, Normas & Wayne), Phil chipped, sliced, scuffed, lofted, putted, drove, and shanked his way around the well manicured course.  And whaddya know?  He posted a season’s best score with just one or two above fifty. 

Dust off those clubs.  Golfing season is open!
